Hey all! As the title says, I got offered a job today (yay me!) but I've been waiting almost 8 weeks for job seekers since finishing a FAS course in Sept. Does anyone know if I'll get the JS I'm due backdated to when I signed back on? Approx half falls under benefit but the rest should be subject to allowance that I haven't been means tested for.

    Cheers in advance! :)

You should have no problem with the JSB part of it. With regard to JSA you may have to see a social welfare inspector and get time off from you new job for this appointment. Go into your local sw office and let them know you are starting work and any monies due to you can be sent by cheque instead of having to go to post office to collect. Congrats on the job.
