Anybody know what the story is with the new bus stop at Fr McCullen Pk in Kells? Theres no actual bus stop and the bus drove passed me this morning (but then stopped just opposite beacon). Is this bus stop in operation or what?

The road surface is complete at the pull-in so no reason a bus shouldn't stop here, though have yet to travel on one that does.

The established stopping place Kells/Dublin-bound has been down at the Carrick House public house but this is at a junction and there are double yellow lines there. A few years ago there were evidently plans for a southbound bus stop on Lord Edward Street (somewhere opposite the "Kells North" northbound stop) but there was local opposition and notices were displayed on that part of the street to the effect "no bus stop here" (and one respects the right to object) so it appears that the plan was dropped.

The stop at Blanchardstown slip road (out of city direction) had road markings since it was first used in May but only got a stop flagpole recently.

Have always favoured the idea of some southbound buses going round by the Circular Road and stopping at Cannon Street. Would be useful for early-morning commuters.
