Online gaming using NUIM Wireless

Im not sure if its deliberate or not, but I cant access Eve online from the campus wireless. Any posts i could open to grant me access?

No, the only ports opened on the wireless are 80 (HTTP) and 443 (HTTPS)

slightly unrelated but is this the same reason a lot of video streaming sites refresh mid video (not megavideo, i understand the story there)? i have a video streaming app on my phone that refuses to work over nuim wireless!

also not sure if this is a feasable option on a student budget but theres always o2 broadband for 10 a month for students for 15gb download or 3 broadband for 30 a month and 60 gb download

Megavideo and its ilk aren't really streaming (most of the time your just downloading the video file and playing it as it downloads, which isn't the same as streaming)

Anything that's not using ports 80 or 443 is block, most streaming video services use different ports for a number of reasons.
