Hi all. Folks are going to Dublin later in the week and need to change stations. Whats the easiest way to get from Connolly station to Heuston, I'm thinking the bus or taxi. How long should it take or what price roughly would be it.
    Cheers

LUAS is the easiest option - directly outside Connolly Station which will take them to Heuston with no changes.

    Fare is EUR 1.50 each.

    Thanks

Didnt know if luas would be the easiest. But if it is outside connolly thats fine. Is there a changeover on it or does it go directly

It goes directly and brings you direct to front of conolly, just a short trip up escalators.

If they are getting another train at Connolly they should be able to get the Luas added on to the ticket.

Mac and Foggy, the OPs parents are travelling from Connolly to Heuston.;)

    Luas all the way.

How much would it be to add a Luas trip to your Rail ticket? At €1.50 would it be better value to buy the Luas ticket separately

    This too shall pass.

Afaik there is a saving of around 20cents but it saves fumbling around for change at the luas ticket machine in full glare of the many beggars and drug users who frequent the stop for the sole purpose of relieving people of whatever money they can get.
