My sister in law dropped her iphone, small crack in screen.

Touch screen works 100%..I told her it wouldn't be expensive as the digitiser/touch panel is working, and that she just needs new glass fitted.

Repair guy told her that unlike the 3g/3gs, the 4 has the glass and touch panel glued together so he would have to replace both..

    Is this true? Thanks

yep, 100% true, the lcd/digitizer/glass is all one part, and it'll cost her roughly 75-90 to get it repaired...

I'd say that's a fair price for parts and labour if it's an OEM part. Anything cheaper and you might get a sub par screen.

100% true like the original iphone.
Some of the non original screens look as good as the OEM parts, then again there is some shockingly bad quality ones too.
There is a new range of non-originals out that have the protective coating apple claim to have on their screens.
I'm going to get some with my next order and try them out
