illness benefit

I'm off work for two weeks now after an operation and am looking for illness benefit off the state, does anybody know how long this will take to come through? I am waiting for my doctors note from the hospital as he filled it in wrong the first time, it should be here today.

My OH received his claim letter back within 7 working days after the initial form was filled out with details of where to collect the benefit etc. He was back to work and all.

I submitted mine on a Monday and my first payment was paid into my bank account on the Tuesday of the following week.
