    From the link below
    http://www.flightglobal.com/news/articles/boeing-prepares-for-world-tour-of-787-363689/

With the first two 787s in the hands of launch customer All Nippon Airlines, Boeing is also readying itself to embark on global marketing tour designed to reinvigorate the Dreamliner's sales campaign, said several company sources familiar with the plan.

Is there any reason to think the 787 will come to Dublin? I'd love to see it in the flesh!

Not for marketing purposes but the A380 came to Shannon for touch and go testing in 2006. I guess Boeing are more likely to do testing in the US.

I could be wrong but I think the 787 has already been to Shannon (according to the Irish Air Letter), not sure of the details though.

I read elsewhere that Boeing did the same for the B777, and lets face it the B787 needs all the positive marketing it can get.............

As for DUB, the only local widebody customer is EI who are already contracted to Airbus for their fleet needs for the next 5-8 years. However the B787 could well work better for EI than the A350. (A350 is bigger than their current A330's)

It was the first commercial flight today, so you never know, maybe ANA will start a Dublin route.:D ANA does serve LHR I think, so we might see a 787 there soon.

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

Current plan has HND-FRA being operated by B787 3 times a week in January, going to daily in February. No other International services announced yet.

The only chance we'll get to see the 787 in DUB is on a diversion due to weather or medical emergency.

It ZA003, enroute from the Dubai Airshow, stopping off at SNN to use the CBP facility before going direct back to Boeing Field.
Has done it before going home from airshows. (Notably MAKS a few months ago)

It stops over in Shannon because of the fuel they get there is the quality they like putting into their testbed aircraft,
It can be traced right back to where in came outta the ground basically.
They dont want to chance fuel from other sources as it may contaminate some of the rigging on the aircraft

Info sourced from the boeing crew of ZA001

    Saw this elsewhere:
    http://nyc787.blogspot.com/2011/11/boeing-to-deliver-only-2-787s-in.html

ANA had originally hoped to have 7 B787 by end of year, looks like they will have only 3.
    (L/N 31 & 41 are next out, L/N 8 is already delivered)

Boeing forecast 5-7 B787 deliveries this year, they look set to manage 3.

Apparently they are pushing out the most recent units as they try to deal with issues with the early aircraft (L/N 7-19)
Also they are clearing out the B748F backlog. (12 put out by end of year)
