So my PS3 has started to sound like a hoover on occasion, so I have been rebooting and/or giving it a break for a while before starting up again.

Just wondering if there is any action recommended? Maybe I sould open it and check the fan area?

Its a 40gig Fat one over 3 years old occasional use however using it lately a lot more than before and don't want it to go bang.
