    due to hit Bangkok over the coming days;

    http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-10-24/bangkok-evacuations-forecast-as-river-flooding-swells-past-record-of-1995.html

    We get a small bit of rain in Ireland and people here complain as if the world is about to end, over in Thailand they have their worst floods in decades. Such a shame Bangkok whilst not the nicest city in the world will be ruined, the people there will suffer immeasurably because of all of this and I can just imagine all the rats, overflowing sewers and garbage floating around.

    Having been over there this year I asked a local does Bangkok ever flood, he answered not really, I was surprised considering it is so low and most of the land is so flat.

    we all care about ireland because we are in ireland. the bangkok flooding does not effect us so we will not be complaining about it as much.

    They say the same thing about economic problems in Thailand.

    Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

    'a small bit of rain'

    Try telling that to the families of the people who died last night and the many other people who's livelihoods and homes have been badly affected

    A small bit of rain? They don't implement emergency measures for 'a small bit of rain', especially in Ireland. FFS why do people always do this when we get snow or flooding?
    'sure it's only a shower' - No it isn't, it's a feckin flood.

    if it was a "small bit of rain" there wouldnt be two people dead and unknown costs of damage done.

    OP have you seen the national news?
    It's far from a small bit of rain.
