What do you think the turnout will be in the presidential election?

Very low seeing as students have been more or less excluded with it being on a thursday.

What? I'll be in work until 5:30 on thursday evening and I'm travelling to maynooth that evening. I'll still vote, can't students do the same?

    Some can. Most can't.

Not can't, simply haven't bothered to register where they're living.

Maybe the ones that have to return home but as the poster above pointed out, it's possible to register for any area if one is inclined to do so and I don't think it's very difficult. As likely as not, the students that really want to vote in the upcoming election probably did register for their area of residence on the evening of the election.

Im a student and i'll be returning home to vote (3hr journey) but then I have a strong interest in politics so that is a little diffrent.
I would be very surprised if the turnout is higher than 50%, being a Thursday will count alot of people out and some people will think that the presdent does very little so wont bother. Then of course if its a wet evening, people wont go out after they get home from work in the evening
