    HI guys.

Im studying electronic engineering in Maynooth.

Due to an unforeseen sickness in the family, i missed quite a few labs and tutorials, this means im falling behind. so it would be handy if i had some stuff to help me at home..

one of the main areas i need help with is the whole circuit boards and fundamentals.. is there any good programmes online that can give me a circuit to make from a schematic, then give me an actual circuit boards to let me build it?

like,, the program says. make this

    resistor_network01.gif

and gives you a breadboard to try make it,, like this

    any help is appreciated

If you miss too many Labs, that can be an automatic failure.
If trouble at home is going to get in the way of your studies then go to the academic advisory office and explain your situation to them. They can help clear that up with your department to make sure that your not missing out because your situation is preventing you from attending labs.

On the given schematic and use it to implement a circuit thing, I'm not too sure, but talk to your lecturer, classmates or people in other years and see if they know any good interactive resources.
(I'd be interested in a such a thing too, but for fun)

Call your department, they're really great people and will do anything they can to help you out.

There are a few programs that will do what you're looking for in relation to circuit building, I can't remember the name of the one that the college uses... You'll need to use it in second year, maybe you could ask them what software it is and then download it from somewhere. It'd be a good idea to use the same software to help you out in the future too.

Definitely talk to the department and the lecturer in charge of your year and explain to them what's happening. They are very understanding and might be able to help you out with regards explaining tutorials etc.

The program you will be using in labs in later years for simulating circuits etc is Multisim, I think you can download a free 30 day student trial of it which might be of help to you. It's probably the best one you could use for the moment. If you are struggling with any of the material look at the course texts mentioned in the module descriptors.

But above all definitely talk to the department.
