Meteor Broadband Hotspot

Folks,

I have an O2 hotshot wifi at home but the data allowance is crap 5gb for €20 month prepay.

I see Meteor have a lot better data allowance on there's http://www1.meteor.ie/mobilebroadband/billpay but I was wondering if I could just buy a Meteor broadband SIM card only and pop it into the O2 hotspot modem or do I need to buy the Meteor hotspot modem?

have you got anyone you know with one? take their sim? i guess not since you are asking here
usually o2 and other crowds do lock them similar to phones to their networks, so id say its 50/50 to work

you could go into meteor store and ask them if you can try it either i reckon. they should have a prepay one there.
billpay will generally always be cheaper than billpay. i was in a meteor store there yesterday and on billpay i think their hotspots were free anyway? not too sure to be honest cant remember... but yeah if you can get the sim/hotspot free you are grand.
the reason the prepay is so cheap is most people only use it as a backup or whatever. data allowances generally arent high on prepay
