    Hi everyone,

I'm planning a hen party for my friend in Dingle for 2 nights in May 2012 and would appreciate any ideas on activities... something fun. I've been warned not to sort anything involving pottery-making or horseriding:) Also I'd really appreciate any suggestions on nice self-catering for about 20 and a few good pubs / restaurants as I don't know Dingle very well.

    Thanks a mill!

The Skellig hotel is grand, but its a bit far from the town and you would kind feel the need to take a car as its a 25 min walk. But if you wanted to do a sap thing i would say they would be able to sort you out with a deal.

I would recommend Benners its warm, cosy and good staff also in the heart of Dingle http://www.dinglebenners.com/?gclid=CPi5xKr7kKwCFYEZ4Qodzksgmg

I would highly recommend the chart house! Its 100% fantastic not too pricey and excellent quality!

The Blue Zone Jazz & Pizza Wine Bar is grate for the chilled out time

You have to go to the Hillgrove! the only nightclub in dingle its such a random laugh!

If you go onto the main street in dingle that's where you will find most of the pubs, I cant really suggest which is best etc as they all have their own different vibes.

I know their is Horse riding in ventery on the beach their but i am not sure what company dose that. their is also a poetry 10 min drive from Ballyferiter they may do classes?

    Hopefully this helps you :)

good luck with the planing :)

Thanks for all the suggestions! I had looked at henparty.ie before and it has some really good ideas. Thanks for the tips on places to eat too blahblahblah... blue zone sounds very different and as we'll be there for 2 nights it might be good for the 2nd night. We're still looking into self-catering but will have a look at the hotel suggestions now.

25 mins from the Skellig to town, ah go way out of that, ten tops, even in high heels!!

There is a late bar at the Droichead Beag pub. For hen food the Dingle bay hotel on the pier does good bar food. A sedate hen would do well in Fentons, good food and an excellent early bird menu.

For something that is not horse riding or pottery, try playatheight, at the outskirts of town.

You can also take boat trips to see Fungie.

Theres a fab b&b called Heatons just outside of town. Not sure how many rooms they have but I found them fab.

I no that John Benny's in the middle of town do fab food & have a private dining room upstairs if you fancy just having a private meal when you can go a bit mad when its just the gang of ye. I've been at one or two meals there and enjoyed it

If you do a search on facebook you can find them there.

Just rem they have apts at the back of the pub I dont no how many they sleep but I no there's two or three apts so that mite be an option & as i said it's in the middle of town.

I also found a really nice thing to do when ur hungover is the Aquarium

Heatons is nice, but quite expensive for a b and b.

    Am pming you Miss demure

For good central self catering the Capall dubh on Green street is worth a look, plus across from a rather good Chinese.

http://www.dinglecottages.com/ not as central but not too bad either.
