I must have seen this in a film years ago, it always struck me as an awful situation!

So you've been with your partner for years, share lots of mutual friends and are very close to each others family. You also live together. But you've decided you want to end the relationship as you don't love them anymore for what ever reasons, maybe you have suspicions of them cheating or maybe they don't treat you very well.
You get a call to say they've been in an accident and are paralyzed.
    What would you do?

I dont think i'd do anything, I'd probably sympathise with who ever called me and ask them to wish her my best.

TBH I'd likely stick around. With a shared history like that, I'd probably figure they need me more than ever kinda thing. Now if they were deep into a long termer affair, that would be a different thing. In that case bye bye, sayonara and fcuk off and let the other bloke take care of her. If he was up for riding her and she him behind my back then they can take the whole package.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.
