bitten .... not by a dog either

    i was verbally threathened then assaulted then bitten by a drunk male while at work the skin wasnt broken but it has left a nasty mark and bruise work sent me to hospital and i got shots etc
    my employers are paiding for my missed shift and bills which i think is nice :)

    my other half wants me to press charges etc but im not sure , i prob would just let it go my self

    and i just dont know where i stand on this i was the victim but im unsure what to do the garda that was called is quite keen to get a statement from me which im fine with but i really dont know if i want to press charges ...HELP

    Press charges. Get a hepatitus test. Take a civil case if you don't get compensation.

    Make a statement, the Garda will press charges.

    Unless you like being bitten. Enough people come on boards saying cops are not doing anything about assaults help the cop out and get back to him ASAP.

    I assume the male was a customer.

    Same thing happened to me at a bar while working. If it was me now I would press charges. Google a few cases and you will get a better idea but the offender shouldn't just get away with it.

    Jesus OP , I presumed your reluctance to press charges was because this guy was a co-worker !!
    Why would you not press charges ? Sounds like a thug.

    You have a responsibility to a civilised society to press charges. If you don't, then this dirtbag learns that he can assault whoever he likes without fear of legal reprisal.
