    Hello everyone!
unsure if this thread is elsewhere and sorry if it is but just want to get peoples opinions on what protein or recovery shakes wpuld be good for Gaelic football.

At the moment i go to the gym about twice a week (been going since last year), train twice a week and then throw in an auld swim if i've time! What protein shakes would be best? Obviously for Gaelic you want to be strong, fast and agile so you don't want creatin or any of the protein shakes for massive bodybiulding men!

I know some of you are going to say "It depends on your diet, metabolism etc." I'm aware of this and generally i eat healthily with 4-5 meals a day. But just wondering in a general sense which protein shakes are good for maybe muscle definition, recovery and strength.
I've heard of some gaelic teams using Kinetica?? That good?
    Thanks for any responses! :)

I wouldn't necessarilty buy a protein powder on its own without putting carb through it, as it's an ineffective way of protein intake. I used ON Recovery 2:1:1 for a lot of workouts type (weights, cardio etc), I found it very good.

Normal food that has the protein and carb combination would do the job, but if you can wolf down a couple of tuna sandwiches after a workout, you're a better man than me! It's the convenient factor as well as knowing the supplement has the nutrition the body wants is why I would use supplement.

A pint of milk is good for a post cardio workout (running, cycling etc).

Thanks nice_guy80, that'd be the best place to discuss this topic
