    Hello

As a place to go try Cyclesuperstore in Tallagh

For online wiggle.co.uk or chainreactioncycles.com and both have a 10% off at the moment

I like Berghaus Bike for rainwear but for some reason they no longer make jackets/equipment for cycling. I am not keen on Endura, I have recently bought an Altura Night Vision Evo Waterproof Cycling Jacket Hi viz Yellow from Wiggle. It has been getting good reviews but I dont know the quality myself. I personally dont wear waterproof trousers, I find it harder to cycle with them on and just go with a change after the cycle

    Hope it helps

Wiggle are having a sale on bike wet gear at the moment. I picked up a night vision evolution jacket from them last year, very warm and waterproof and handy for commuting.

My wet gear couldn't hold up on the way home this evening with the rain.

First it got in around the knee joint in the legs

Then around the belly button in the top zip

    :(

Was it just the type of weather that can't be held back or does anyone have any recommendations?

other than being flogged with a knotted rope, there's nothing worse than a wet belly button!

I used to have a bog standard Altura Night Vision jacket which started off pretty good, but over time there was this white lining stuff that flaked off furiously every time you put the coat on or off. Also, the sleeves started getting leaky.

Upgraded to the Altura Attack recently after I saw it on Wiggle for ~€100. It is the business. It kept me bone dry despite a number of trips in the bad stuff. Highly recommend them.

My Sealskinz gloves got waterlogged in the end, but I'm happy enough with them.

Saw one gent going home in GAA shorts and flipflops on his bike, which did not look comfortable at all, no matter how quick he might dry out when he got home.

Anyone got any suggestions for a cheaper equivalent of this baby

    http://www.wiggle.co.uk/gore-bike-wear-fusion-gt-as-jacket/

Im looking for ages for a breathable, waterproof, folds up small into jersey pocket for less than 130ish.

Also Im investing in a pair of mudguards for the roadbike - got saturated last sunday - most of the water was coming off the front wheel - its like squatting over a garden sprinkler!

I just had one of these delivered - has performed well in the few chilly mornings so far, and kept out the worst of the rain these past 2 days:

    I find it breathes well.

I just ordered an Altura Pocket Rocket jacket. Not in the same league as the Goretex one but hopefully will do the job.

i bought one of those on wiggle a few weeks back. its very lightweight and folds up incredibly small. only worn it during one very heavy downpour and it did its job very well

left a few notes after me in Victoria cycles today, folds up smaller than a gnats nad, better be waterproof.
