If the weather continues like it has been today I would be amazed if anywhere was playable.

It looks like it's going the same way as last year..... 2 months rain followed by 2 months of frost! A bad winter could be the final nail for a lot of clubs, especially those where membership comes due over the winter.

European on Wednesday (east alliance) will be one of the few games you can have this week I'd say.

Was looking at playing Luttrelstown later in the week, probably Wed or Thurs. Anyone know how it is holding up?

Also looked at weather forecast and bar some rain tomorrow we should be dry for the remainder of the weekdays!

Same here, have the day booked off work and all, are you playing it off your own bat or with mygolfsociety.ie?

Great drying out there at the moment.

I was all set to sign up to one of the now until the end of 2012 membership deals out at the moment. After the weekend and all this talk of a bad winter I think I take my chances and wait til early next year. Cant see much golf being played for a while

just thought you might be interested in looking at this website which can be pretty good at forecasting the weather, i will say one thing allright,i wouldnt bet on its predications for more than a day or 2 out, but if you keep checking it, it can be quiet good. Just type in the location you want to know for, it does work for ireland

Course is perfect here in Macreddin, great drainage. Some of the rock armour around the river on 17/18 got damaged but nothing we couldn't fix.

Sorry padzer, meant to reply earlier. Yupp was the mygolfsociety day out in the Heritage. We were out at 11:20. Fantastic day out and course was in excellent condition except for the bunkers which could have done with a bit more sand. And i know i was in enough of them!! Great day out though. Thanks to Keano for the company.
