cars hot air smelly

    when i turn on the heat in my focus the hot air smells fairly bad, nearly like smelly feet or similair, its only when the hot air is put on, i checked for leaks of any kind and theres none, what should i be fixing here?

    Could be a heater matrix starting to leak.

    Generally its a big enough job to take the dash apart and replace the matrix.
    Not impossible for a determined home mechanic but not a 5 minute job.
    I would first determine if it is leaking, and if it is ask a good indy garage for a quote.
