Moving Credit Union

I moved a couple of years ago, but never moved my credit union account.

I was recently told that I shouldn't have a credit union account in an area where I don't live by the teller in my CU.

I was just wondering if I move, would my new CU be reluctant to loan me money as I would be a new customer? (i.e. would I lose my loan history?:()

    Any comments welcome.... thanks

    I did the same.

New credit union would have based any application based on old account. Should not be an issue if you make it known to the new cu.

It says on you're CU booklet to inform the CU if you change address, I am sure they will just transfer you're account to you're nearest CU.
