DSi r4 card ???

Nephew is looking for something called an R4i-SDHC card for his DSi. Found this crowd selling them in Ireland ndsmemorycards.com Anyone know if they are any good, card and company Any advice much appreciated, this all going slightly over my head :o

Do yourself a favour and go to the Gamekool website and buy an Acekard 2i and memory card. Much cheaper than the site you linked and a much better card esp when you use AKAIO (or similar).

Card seems to work fine. Took a while to download necessary programmes to get it to run as the links on Gamekool site were down. Ended up using one of the many tutorials on You Tube. All in all nephew delighted with it, hero status assured :D

Santa is Bringing one of my Kids a DSi for xmas so if someone could link me to the correct R4 card i need for a DSi i'd be very grateful. (or does it make any difference what card i use?)

Also links to the necessary programs would be wonderful.

I need a card from My son for his DSi,,,but I have no idea about them....

He had some before,but some were stolen,,or his game updated,so they didn't work anymore.

Can I ask some questions on here,,or could I PM someone??

As long as the questions dont pertain to downloading/running copyrighted games, then there's no reason why you can't ask.

Very grey area the flash carts are. If you needed help running videos, ebooks etc though that'd be ok...

You will need a micro SD card too. You will probably have to google what else you need to do as going into detail here is against boards rules.

Just posting to say I ordered the acekard 2i from gamekool on the 16th November, and it arrived safe and sound today. All seems well.

I have an R4 card that seems fairly flaky.. has had to be restored from backup a few times at this stage, only have it 12 months. If I buy the Acekard is it possible to transfer all the games from the R4 card to it, in their current format - or is it different? Is it just a case of putting the memory card from the R4 card into it?

Sorry if it's a ridiculous question - but I only heard of the Acekard today when I found this thread!!

R4 don't make card's anymore and haven't for a few years. Any that have been sold since they stopped are cheap chinese knock off's. The acekard uses its own software that is on the SD card (Or a better one called AKAIO you can get yourself) so simply copying all the contents from one card to the other wont work. However copying the nds files and sav files should be ok.

A MicroSD is a MicroSD, same card works in both.

What is the recommended micro sd card size (memory) for the acekard please?

Depends on how many games you want on it. I would go 8gb at least but 16gb is also very cheap at about 20 bucks.

Sorry, not being following this lately:

Yeah, about €12, inc shipping. For that price, I didn't get a tracking number, so had to trust in the FSM and his Noodly Appendages to get the kard here in time for xmyth.

All worked out perfectly, card works with 1.4.3E DSi, which was my main concern.
