If for instance a director Q and equal shareholder in a company slept with the spouse the other director R and equal shareholder. However R would like to keep running the business. Could R get rid of Q from the running of the company?

Sleeping with the spouse is irrelevant.
The options are to break the company up or for R to buy out Q's share by agreement.
