Any interest in something like this:

    http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=1182

Linkage does a similar thing to dual pivots of XT/XTR Vs. Strength is comparable, etc. Unfortunately I am away for two and a bit weeks.

actually yeah i would be interested,if the price is right of course.Front and rear i assume?

Front and rear. I can't look at them now but I'm pretty sure there is a stripped tension adjuster bolt/thread on one. This means that brake must be balanced from one side only, which worked ok for me.

I'd be looking for 20 euro with fresh cartridge pads (unsure of what brand, probably BBB or Fibrax). It has all be bagged up since 2007.

If you need to do a deal soon, I might be able to get someone to check everything and meet you, though from 5th November onwards would be better.

right,em is the stripped thread repairable?i know they can be made work fine but im very fussy on things just like this esp brakes.
    Any pics?

The adjuster bolts are quite small and I only recall that the bad one was held in place, but did not take kindly to being wound up or down. Semi-permanent thread lock could have fixed it, others recommend manipulating the springs to achieve balance, I didn't have to do any of this this though.

Would be best to wait until I get back so I can look properly. If you are sorted out before then, so be it.

    Hi,

here are some of the pictures of the brakes so you can see what condition they are in. I won't embed them as they are all quite large. A few more to follow in the next post.
