Rathmines to Dun Laoghaire

    Hello

What would the handiest route via public transport be from Rathmines Rd to Dun Laoghaire (George's St)? I was thinking of walking along the canal to Leeson St and getting the 46A, or walking into town and getting the 46A out from there. I did look at getting the 18 to the DART station in Sandymount and getting the DART from there but it's going to be pretty expensive. Ideas/suggestions welcome!

    Thanks

if you were to get the 18, you'd be as well to stay on it til Ballsbridge, and then get the 7 to Dun Laoghaire

edit: if you're worried about cost, you can get a 30 day bus ticket for €110 (€3.66 per day), and they days don't have to be consecutive.
also worth having a 10 journey transfer 90 ticket in your pocket (€19), you can do the two bus journeys withing 90 minutes and it counts as one, handy if you get a lift to dun laoghaire and then need to get home, then you've only spent €1.90 worth instead of using a full day on the 30 days one.

A word of warning - the 18 is not that reliable!
