    well i know some companys already have them,
    but a GPS for our public transport system would be cool.
    e.g. if i could see how far away my bus was from my stop before leaving my house and going to the bus stop

    I have an app which will find me a route from one place in the city to another and includes the times of buses/trams(accurately), and how long until the next bus.

    Something similar for Dublin would be awesome.

    Also, an app which tells you if there are loose women nearby would be cool too.

    a samsung tv that isnt connected to the net :(


    id love an xbox360 remote control app too. obviously MS will keep the API for windows phones though...

    I'd like an app that lists the tide times and heights. It's getting to a pretty irrelevant stage now, but would be very handy in the Summer when deciding where and when to go for a swim on hot days.

    Yeah, you can get them on the irishtimes website. It would just be handy to have a widget / app that throws the time up.

    The Sony tablets have an IR transmitter built in.

    I can't see a remote control app being a runner unless there is some cheap Bluetooth device that acts as an intermediary to transit IR signals.

    There is a similar device for Logitech Harmony remotes but it costs ~€90!

    Samsung already have this. It only works on samsung tvs tho. Universal remote would be good though..
