    Hey folks,

Thinking of getting a Kangoo 2002 1.5dci has test and 100k on clock.

anyone have any experiance of these vans?

reason I am buying is the only thing I can afford and was in better condition than other similar vans I looked at.

    any feedback would be appreicated
    thanks!

We had one in the job. Can't remember the exact issue, but we ended up putting a "new" engine in it.

The second engine was also a 1.5 dCI. and endless hassle. As I said though, don't know why we replaced the engine, so can't give too much info on that.

From the few times I drove it, it wasn't the nicest. Slow as bejaysus. As in, you have to seriously plan any overtaking manoeuvres.

Really the garage I am looking at has a berlingo same year and mileage on clock for the same price.was looking at the kangoo for its mpg really.

put off by the fact you had to replace the engine!

As I said, I'm not 100% why it was replaced, but I'll find out for you. Couldn't give you an mpg figure as I never had it long enough to work it out.

I just didn't like the thing. But maybe others have been in one for long enough to give you more/ better advice.

I recently got rid one of one myself..100k plus on the mileage,no real issues..passed its doe..had to replace water pump and a few more bits ...needed cvs done too...wasnt the worst I,ve driven though....not fast and not designed for high speed manouvres...did its job though.. how much are you being asked for it. ?

Get the bingo, kantgos are just hassle on many fronts and love shredding their timing belts for many and various reasons. Mechanics hate them and owners curse them. Bingos are far from perfect, but are more(if thats the right word) reliable and easier to work on. Just my own tuppence tho. Shouldn't be much in it on the economy front.
