How Marks are Weighted in 2nd/3rd Year

Hey all. I am a second year arts degree student and I'm wondering how marks are weighted for my overall degree. I heard somewhere (I can't remember where) that second year marks make up 30% and third year marks make up the remaining 70%. Is there any truth in this? Thanks all.

If your mark is higher weighting it 30/70 between your 2nd and 3rd year results, it will happen automatically.

If not, only your 3rd year results are used.

Oh, so the 30/70 number was right? Thanks for the reply. That cleared things up :)

I think it's that they use whichever gives you the higher grade. So if your grades add up to more by just using third year you can use that but if you do better in second year you can use 30% of those grades towards your final grade

Depends on the course. Some automatically weigh them, some do not.
