Acer 5553 laptop battery

    Hey, i bought an Acer 5553 laptop from Argos about 6 or 7 months ago, battery life has been poor but probably due to heavy useage.

    Today i got the consider replacing your battery message from windows.
    Just wondering wheres the best place to buy a new battery?

    Maybe thinking of getting one with a higher capacity aswell because of the bad battery life.

    I got a replacement for my 5740 on Ebay, it was about €20 delivered, lasts the same amount of time per charge as the original but was only a third of the price of an official one. You could even buy two and rotate them and still save money!

    I can send you a link to the Ebay shop where i got mine if you like, quite quick on the delivery too.

    Ive had a look on ebay but most are from china which id prefer not to get one because of delivery time etc. and the only one from the uk i can see is €40 and its just the standard battery, not a higher capacity.

    I don't know if he has your model but you could ask and maybe he can get it in for you if he doesn't.

    This site Here sells 12 cell batteries for Acers, looks decent for prices.
