Anyone any suggestions as to what would be the best currency to hold some savings in. Im just thinking this way as there does appear to be uncertainly over the future of the euro and it value. I figure holding savings in a foreign currency of a country that is in good economic health might be a good idea and would mean the value of savings would be save guarded to a degree

Hold a basket of currencies. Having all of your eggs in one basket is rarely a good idea from a capital protection point of view.
