Middle class people don't sit in their front gardens. If they're in their front garden at all they have to be gardening. Anyone else notice that? Discuss. :)

One I noticed but middle classes have their books downstairs, working class put them upstairs. Off course not true for all.

I'd love someone to define a middle class Irish person and a working class Irish person.

    I don't think you can.

If you sit in your front garden, enjoying the sun having a cup of tea or a tin, then you're working class.

If you can't just enjoy your front garden and have to be at it, digging and clipping, and sweeping endless leaves, then you're middle class.

    It's quite simple really.

I like to sit in front of my house in a deck chair, burning my paper waste in an oil drum and shouting obscenities at the neighbourhood dogs.

    I don't have a front garden though.
