TV Sketch show - "It's a plastic sh1te"???

    What was the name of the Irish sketch show where someone is handed a plastic sh1te, I think as a way to distract them from bad news?

    Have vague recollections of this, I think it was called Stew. I think it was like a forerunner to The Savage Eye. Never really been a fan of either.

    Was that the show from the late 90's with David O Dohertys brother where they used to show the same 50's newsreel footage of two guys fishing every week and dub it over.

    I think Stew was later than that, mid-2000s I think. The only late 90s show like that I can think of is Bull Island, don't really recall who was in it though.

    Deffo wasent Bull Island.I must start a thread on that now cos it's bugging me that i can't think of the title.
