1/ While filling my income tax on-line I came to the question about PRSI or not. Is it manditory for self-employed contractors and if so, what are we intitled to by paying it? 2/ Is there any way to claim relief on Funeral expenses?

PRSI is due by self employed taxpayers under Class S.

There are exemptions from PRSI for properietary directors but this is advice I charge for in the real world so I'd go see an accountant or tax consultant if you want same

There are issues regarding your entitlement to a state pension though if you don't have enough contributions
