Just wondered if anyone had any recommendations for books/websites on the writing up of university-level experimental results?

Such as how to write a good abstract etc, etc...

    Thank you

If you can find a copy of this:

"Handling Experiemental Data" by Mike Pentz and Milo Shott (Edited by Francis Aprahamian). Open University Press (1988)

It's a good reference book for anyone producing reports and "attempts to introduce science students to basic principles and good practices in the collection, recording and evaluation of experimental data." It also has a section on writng reports and is designed for 6th form / 1st Year students.
