With winter golf nearly here i was just wondering when .1s stop being given and cuts stop.
How does it affect the following,

If there is placing on the fairway but play as it lies in the rough

If there is placing in the fairway and lift clean drop in the rough

    If there is placing everywhere

    Thanks Jimmy

If there is placing on the fairway but play as it lies in the rough - Qualifying

If there is placing in the fairway and lift clean drop in the rough - Qualifying (I think)

If there is placing everywhere - Non Qualifying

While we are on the winter rules topic, does anyone know if the winter series on Tuesdays in the Links Portmarnock are qualifiers?

Was told that you could get cut for this today but not get .1 back. Anyone confirm this for us. Is this ever a scenario.

Thanks mike, which set of tees are the open/ pro am off? I would assume they are not off the same.

Also, is there much diference in the difficulty in the tees?
And what woould be the usual Css?

Open played off whites, titleist series off blues (7200 yards ish), Par 71. SS73, CSS can range anywhere from 74 to 77. Way tougher than whites, SS72 and about 6600 yards.

what are other clubs doing in relation to domestic cuts over the winter? my club cuts the winners 2 two shots and runner's up 1 shot during the turkey season. does this happen in many other clubs?

Ya that seems to be the same in my club. Can your GUI handicap be cut in general play

First winter playing, I have had a good score away from club and filled it in on sheets in home clubhouse, I'm playing an open again tomorrow at away course, do I have to cut myself or do I play of origanal untill club cut me? If club cuts me does that cut effect me on all course s?

Cut yourself based on the CSS (if known, SSS if not) of the away competition assuming it was a qualifying competition. If it wasn't qualifying then there's no direct handicap adjustments.
