hi, wondering if someone can help with this question. I have a person who is based lets say in Pakistan, I pay him for some accounts work for me. Is it ok if she/he sends me an invoice and I use it as an allowable expense in sole traders accounts?

I would imagine they would have to produce a valid invoice. What this would look like from Pakistan I don't know. If I were you I would contact revenue and see what they say. You would be surprised how helpful and upfront they will be. At the same time, prices are very competitive for book keeping in Ireland at the moment. When you factor in your own time and the advantage of having an Irish book keeper who knows the Irish system, I would be surprised if it was more expensive.
