From what I remember (2006),

You had to fill in your information in the student portal, www.si.ul.ie, under the Co-Op section.

It could have changed since

The March deadline is most like the deadline for submitting documentation for organising your own. That is, the form you must fill out with employer details and a letter from the employer.

I organised my own and I handed in the normal CV just to keep them happy and to avoid complications.
