I have recently began playing rugby again after a number of years. Only a bit of a kick around among friends so I don't want to spend much money on anything so does anyone know where I could pick up a pair of boots/shorts etc. On the cheap?

I do hate /love / hate ebay, but prob best bet if you really want quality gear for half nothing. Or a school fete.... always boots in almost perfect nick knocking about, €100 pair for €10 kind of nonsense.

I bought a pair and decent quality. Prefer my local club branded canterbury ones but for the prices i got a pair for training in.

They still had loads in there during the week in Lidl Coolock.

I've used eBay and Pro-Direct for boots, but you'd probably want to try on a pair before you order them. For some reason I find that boots can vary a lot more than normal shoes.

Pro-Direct sometimes do great deals on moulded boots - I got a pair for rugby league during the summer for about £20.
