Exhaust manifold gasket

    Hi folks,

    my mechanic told me after servicing my Passat B6 at the weekend that the exhaust manifold gasket is leaking badly.

    No surprise there as the car stinks of fumes.....

    It's a clear case of it needs to be done.

    So I'll be booking it in again to have this done.

    Just wondering how much work is involved to do it on a 2006 B6 Passat 1.9TDI and how much I should expect to pay for a good mechanic to do it.

    I'll be using my own mechanic so I'm not looking for the cheapest price just an idea of what it will cost and how much work in involved. I know gaskets are cheap so this will be generally made up of labour costs
