Any other installers on here get a call from these people?
I got a call the other day from a very nice lady offering perks such as lower insurance quotes, website linking etc, if I joined up.
I explained I was based and insured etc, in the north so I didn't think it would be of benefit to me,but she was aware i operate around Co.Monaghan as well.(I live on the border) Anyways i was asked to check out their website and told to expect a call back in a few days.

Check ISAA.tv, run by installers like yourself, give us a call?

We are in the red cow hotel Monday, check our web site, for more info.

    Regards,

I also got a call. It seems a great idea on their behalf to make some extra cash. Registration fee and yearly subscriptions

    Thanks Tony,

I would not recommend an Installer unless they have gone through criminal background checks.

Luckly the ISAA can be thanked for installers having such good checks and high standards.

My dad used to be a member when he was a tv repairman, never ever got anything from them except an odd flyer claiming cheaper insurance and cheaper mini breaks away, all which were completely useless and actually cost more than it would if using it without.

I explained this to the guild when they rang me lately and no matter how hard I tired I couldn't get them off the phone I even told them my dad still receives their material and amazingly another one arrived today havent looked at it yet.

I asked what i would get for my membership fee, a plastic card was the response WOW Said I...and garda clearance she said, amazing I said I can make my own card and work for a Saorview approved retailer and already have garda clearance...and still she wouldnt take a no for an answer. And when I asked when would they hold seminars and meet and greets and show off the new Saorview equipment ideas, etc she had simply no answer, and even admitted it probably wouldnt ever happen...

Complete waste of money and time...both of which I dont have much of rite now...

Okay guys, you can take inter-organisation rivalries to another place, not here.

I'm getting 17,500 hits on Google for them so they seem to be a reputable organisation. They are also listed on saorview.ie so RTÉ appear to have no problem with them.
