See they're all the rage on the PGA Tour,a lot of arguments for and against.
I'd imagine we'll be seeing them stocked here soon too, like the white driver trend this year.
I'd like a go off one, just how's it going to fit into the boot?:pac:
    Would you use one?

I am really happy with the way I putt with my 30" Scotty (25 putts on Sunday;)) but if i were to change it wud defo be to a belly.. just looks easier...

btw I think all long putters shud be banned.. take wrists out of it and ur using ur body as an artificial base.... but while they are legal go for it!

There was a stat somewhere that 60% of the top collegiate golfers in America are using a belly putter ... it used to be the refuge of the old golfer when the pot herbs gave up on the 3 footers .... question is whether yer prepared to hand over upwards of 200 notes for one ?

a slightly cheaper way to experiment perhaps - http://www.amazon.com/Belly-Putt-putt-conversion-kit/dp/B004ZZPAM4
looks a bit gimmicky, but would give an idea I'm sure

    Total Putts 1.47
    GIR 2

It was a V Par and I had a few putts for birdie on shot holes which I just lagged up from 8 feet to ensure the win.. so stats are distorted.... up and down percentage 65%

My Uncle uses one to great effect. Having had a very slight touch of the yips, he's now putting as well as he ever did. It has really simplified the mechanics for him. His only difficulty is getting pace right on long putts.

On the same trend, has any one used one of the 2 thumb grips?

Thinking of putting one on my putter.

are u serious? one of the best putters out there... defo improved my stats... I'd pay €400 if I had too..... you shouldn't scrimp on quality Dr....

Scotty's are well worth the money.
Putters are the most used club in the bag. Anything from mid 20's to high 30's putts per round.
A driver about 14 times a round. Lot of golfer would not see a problem spending €300 on a driver but your mad if you spend that on a putter. What's that about?

Being a good putter comes from a good putting stroke and finding the correct putter for you. The correct loft, balance and milling are important when choosing the right one - Scotty works for you and that's great - there's so many models that you did well to find the right one. Scotty being inexorably tied with Titleist will always keep them prevalent on the tours ... if you want total quality in a putter have a pikey @ Gold's Factory ... these are an art form ;)

Yeah aren't they ... some of the gear is from their private collections which have very limited runs ... big money ! ... one of their lines actually take Scotty's and modify them sorta "pimp my ride" ...I know they do Studio Newports and Del Mars
