Staying with a friend and transferring JSA

    Hi everyone,

Just a quick question really. I moved up from Cork to Dublin recently. I worked part time in Cork and so I got job seekers benefit. When I quit my job to move up here I was sent a letter to say that I would now be receiving job seekers allowance. I am currently staying with a friend in Lucan, so I went to the Clondalkin social welfare to transfer my job seekers allowance to Dublin. They told me that I needed a letter from my friend to say that I was staying with him. I now have this letter but when I called today the office was closed. I also have being househunting and found a house in Sandymount which I will move into next week. As I am returning to Cork for the weekend, my question is this: Do I need to call into the Clondalkin office tomorrow morning or should I just wait until next week and go to Dun Laoighaire?

    Thanks in advance
