So I want to get a bit of jewellery from amazon but the seller is in america and won't ship to Ireland. I did e-mail the seller and said I would pay any extra shipping but to no avail. If I bought the item here its 4 times more expensive. Has anyone come across a business that may act as an inbetween or a way around this????

Try these. I haven't used them myself but their name comes up again and again from other people on Boards.

You could try myus.com, basically they give you a PO Box address in the US and forward on the mail to you. They will also let you register to use a US credit card if you are buying from a site which does not accept international payments.

It is expensive, but probably still cheaper than buying things here. You also may need to factor in import taxes if the package is stopped by customs. Not sure if this will apply to what you're buying but better to be prepared!

    Hope this helps!
