    I have just bagged this
    Not sure if the movement is genuine? any ideas? Dont really care about the dial, its the movement I'm after:D

    Yepp ...that's the right one !

    The little triangle that the balance spring jewel sits in ...that's your shock protection.

    Also looks like you might have bagsied some blued hands on top of it

    PS ...this is also an earlier Soviet movement.
    The later, Russian ones have (other than perhaps the nicer finish) two smaller rubies on the bridge.

    It's the same movement as I have in my conversion

    You're going to need a very small screwdriver.

    That small screw at the top, near the crown, that needs to be turned in order to get the stem out (and the movement out of the case).

    Also in order to get the dial off (and put another one on) you will have to open two grub screws on the edge of the movement that are equally small.


    For opening the caseback and popping off the crystal I would recommend a Stanley knife / carpet knife. Just slide it int the gap and lever upwards, avoiding any inward pressure. Otherwise, once the case pops your knife will slide inside uncontrollably and scratch the movement / ruin the dial
