    Line ups, thoughts? Predictions?. Seem like a decent team, could be tough to get a win with our usual Europa team.

    Sandro Rose Lennon Kane Livermore and Carroll to start possibly Townsend as well kaboul and bassong in Defence. That's most of the team I'd expect to see. Cudicini in goal me thinks

    I hope he sticks with the youngsters. They deserve the run out. And hopefully Pav won't play, or at least if he does, he doesnt stink up the place like his last few games.

    Hoping Sandro doesnt play to be honest.

    I'm guessing he'll get 45 for fitness reasons.

    Here's our starting XI v Rubin Kazan -
    Gomes;
    Walker, Bassong, Livermore, Rose;
    Lennon, Carroll, Sandro, Giovani;
    ----Defoe, Pavlyuchenko.

    Thats a pretty strong starting XI
    Bench just as strong
    And here are our subs - Cudicini, Assou-Ekotto, Kaboul, Falque, Modric, Townsend, Kane.

    Yeh really hope Sandro gets taken off at some point unscathed. I dont think 90 mins is too wise having not been included in the squad against Newcastle which was only 4 days ago.

    Hoping he continues with the youngsters. I've been impressed with Tom Carroll, so I hope he gets a run. It's on Channel 5 too, it can be tuned in on Sky.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,153 ✭✭✭everdead.ie

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,459 ✭✭✭T-b0n3

    Any good streams?

    Edit: Nevermind, see its on 5, thanks.

    Go to services --> system setup --> Add channels

    Use the following settings:

    Frequency: 10773
    Polarisation: Horizontal
    Symbol rate (Mbaud): 22.0
    FEC: 5/6

    Once added go to services --> Other Channels and it will be there.

    Awful defending (was he offside?) but a brilliant save from Gomes.

    Good win,you could not begrudge Ruben a draw if the got it though,Gomes very good tonight,as was Carrol and Rose.Kaboul shored up the defense when he came on strong as an Ox.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,778 ✭✭✭✭Kold

    How did we go from having the best midfield in the league last year to having the most anonymous midfield this year?

    Younes is a real beast.

    Agree.
    Gomes very suited to Spurs really in that you never know what you'll get - he'll convince you he's brilliant before making you wonder if he knows what he's doing. BAE kinda in the same mould. Neither have made my 'get rid' list
    Kaboul goes up in my opinion with each game he's been playing recently and I reckon he's not too far from regular captaincy.
    Danny Rose is coming along nicely (a boo-boo or two tonight forgiven) and Thomas Carroll too.

    Rubin probably deserved the draw if only for the amount of running they did but Spurs never really looked flustered.

    A win is a win tho. COYS

    Carroll is really exciting he really remds me of Luka when he First came to the club. We need to put him on whatever core and speed training Luka went through. He could end up replacing him in two to three years when he ready.

    I'm saying that our midfield have been dreadful at holding the ball up this year.

    what midfield - the one of lennon , sandro, carroll and gio?

    two of them are no where the first team and the other two are sometimes starters

    getting more and more impressed with walker every game. i really am.

    like the look of tom carrol too. but i am not overly convinced of danny rose. kaboul was great when he came on. gomes made some brilliant saves and what a strike by pav. pity he is still poison in my eyes! one win away from progress.

    coem on you spurs.
