We are in the middle of a new build and deciding on a kitchen at the moment.

We are probably going to go for a shaker style door. We will have cream tiles on floor and hopefully cream granite on worktops. The room is about 4m by 9m and the kitchen area is about 4m wide and 3.1m long. They will be an island in it as well. Just wondering what do people think is better a french oak kitchen or a walnut kitchen.

There is one window in the kitchen area. But double doors with window at either side in middle of room and on the opposite wall from the kitchen window at the end of the room there is two more windows. They will be oak doors in the room. Also would people recomend solid or mdf kitchen.

I have attached layout of this room
    Thanks

Personally i really like walnut finish but if you were going with oak finish elsewhere id more inclined to try tie the colour in with the oak door finish.
if you have the funds available go for the solid door, you'll have more options down the line if you decide to change colours etc...
