This 4 stage, 2 day and a cave race is a refreshing twist on the current multisport options and might be of interest to many on here.

Recommended for something a bit different.
2 stages of trail running on Saturday, 2 stages of trail biking on Sunday with lunch provided both days and a very family friendly set-up.
Sadly you'll have to wait until next year as the event was ran off over the weekend just gone and was brilliant.

Niall Davis slaughtered the field on day two, as you'd expect!

Yea I was keen on doing this event but the price turned me right off.
€50 for the run only is excessive & €90 for the duathlon is just a plain rip off.

It's a toughie alright. The headline figure of €90 does seem excessive at first glance but you getting much more than a duathlon. To the honest the €90 nearly put me off too but you have to see what you get for your money these days and it seemed reasonable to me.

It has 4 separate stages, 2 lunches, family entry to the Aillwee Caves and the usual goodie bag stuff and their USP of starting two stages from the bowels of the earth.

that sounds great. I'll definitely do that next year. Just got myself a mountain bike that weighs a lot less than the 20 or so kilograms that my old bike weighed. I'm not a mountain biker but I want to do more races with mountain bikes.

    CLEC next year Jeff?
