Yeah crackin course for anyone in the surrounding area ... bit of a hike off the main road .. it has suffered in the past from the wet condidtions but during the business end of the year it's a great place to play

Thanks for the comments guys. We have a sanding program starting in 2012 that will see over a thousand tons of sand on the fairways every year , this will improve our playing surfaces during the winter season. 74 Memberships left now on Groupon

Hello Rathsallagh employee, will there be a similar deal for prospective new members in Jan2012 as they finish their current 12 monthly deals in other clubs?

In fairness to the golf club, that is a really good offer.

And when you consider that the Groupon company are persumably taking a massive percentage of the €950, Rathsallagh must only be getting around €500-600 (if even) before VAT.

Today is the launch of Rathsallagh’s Special Introductory Membership of €950 , hence the additional add on’s of golf lessons etc. However these add on’s are a one off , the next phase of memberships will not include same and will be for the standard 12 month period ( ie with this one you can start as a Member almost immediately ) , however you still get the other Membership benefits of being able to play our partner courses free of charge etc ( see our web site for further details on that ) So in a nutshell the €950 will be available from January as you have asked, but do keep in mind that there is specific number available as set by the Membership Committee. Thank you for yrou interest.

Yeah surprised you left the bit out regarding the partner courses .. The Heritage is one and is it St. Helen's Bay ?

Members of Rathsallagh Golf Club also enjoy playing rights at the Heritage, Glasson, Seafield Golf & Country Clubs, and also Powerscourt , the latter being winter only.

Seafield damnit yeah not St. Helen's Bay knew it was Wexford  ... and really no place is out of distance these days with the motorway network ... it's really a straight run to Rathsallagh other than the last 3-5 miles. I've made the trip a few times this year from North Dublin taking little of an hour and 20 mins ... and sure if the humour takes ya just stay on the motorway and dip into The Heritage for a change of scenery !!

Interesting to note that these multi deals seem to be going on between propriotry clubs, some of whom are struggling badly to maintain their revenue, Be also interesting to see if any of the "members" clubs will take it on board

    Hi
This is Rathsallagh's third season doing these sort of reciprocal arrangements. It’s a win win for everyone as it provides an additional benefit to the Members, and the Clubs themselves benefit from the visitors some of course who will bring along non member friends etc. We wont enter into too many more deals as we could not cope , however we are always open to discussions with other clubs interested in discussing such arrangements, proprietary or member. And lets face it there a lot of clubs under both categories struggling with revenue, working together is not the grand panacea, but it helps.

Played Rathsallagh this morning and it was in great shape considering the amount of rain that fell last week. Greens were very good.

Missed a putt on the last to hit 36 points but 35 wasn't too bad considering it was my first time playing there.

Always thought Adare Manor was the best parkland or at least my favourite parkland course in the course. Played Rathsallagh last month for the first time and to be honest, i thought it was nothing short of magnificent. Overtook Adare in my eyes.

I played some fantastic golf and had 37pts despite blanking that short par 3 index 18. Tests every facet of your game, place was in fantastic condition, friendly service from the pro shop, to reception to the course staff and to the clubhouse catering staff.

Look forward to visiting Rathsallagh again soon. Keep up the excellent work!
