Upgrading Spring in a Bolt Action Rifle

Quick question, I have a Tercel M03 Mars, and it's clocking in at roughly 260fps with 0.2g bb's. I'm thinking of replacing the spring, so would a Madbull M100 series spring fit into it, or are they just for AEG's?
And if they wouldn't fit, what type of spring should I use?

You need a type 96 spring, or one suitable for the maruzen type 96, at a push, a VSR10 spring. The aeg spring will not function properly.

Honestly get a tight bore it will add FPS and add to accuracy before you mess around with springs

When its down at 260, a spring is a good idea ;)

Yes but if he puts a 1 joule spring he won't have any space for a tightbore so he'd be better off to install a tightbore chrono it and then he would know how much room for improvement he has left :-)

Ronan, we know you're keen but contradicting someone like FK isn't necessarily your best idea. If it was shooting 290-310 a TBB may be a better plan but at 260 the spring is by far the better option.

260 would point to a poor downgrade if anything watch out for, maybe a poorly cut spring

Well I did get it second hand, I dunno if the last guy did anything to it.
Also, from what I've seen a tightbore barrel would cost ten times as much as a new spring, hence why that was my first choice.

Maybe but i'd say its down to the spring being worn down from loads of use

Short of "loads of use" implying the spring has been run over repeatedly by a Land Rover for funsies, physics disagrees.
I'd agree with Puding. 260fps usually indicates a downgrade going mammaries-skyward. Has it always been that low or has it deteriorated from chrono results when you bought it?

I never chrono'd it until recently, and I've had it for about 9 months. Over that time, I haven't actually noticed any deterioration, but I wasn't ever looking for it tbh.
