What mpg are you getting, when was it last serviced?

Saying €X per day is not much use as fuel has been rising in price, an mpg figure will give a better indication.

    It does need a service
But a half hour round trip is burning E20 of diesel
I do not have a mpg meter on the van its a 07 with 250000 on clock

No bit you have an odometer, €20 of diesel per half hour isn't much of a measure really.

    Miles per gallon ;)

Miles per €20 would be a better approximation (still fairly sh1t though) :pac:

i was just coming on to start a similar thread:)

i have a '06 VW transporter 2.5TDI 130bhp long wheel base crewcab van. i have very little by way of weight in the back just a few tools and bits and bobs maybe 60/70/80kgs.
i have noticed it has gotten heavier on diesel in the last 12mths so i have clocked mileage over the last 2 fills.
    fill no.1: 73.89 litres i got 744km
    fill no.2: 63.29 litres i got 635km

so iam getting about 10litres per 100km that works out at about 28mpg is this about right?
how are other peoples similar transporter vans comparing to this?

Are the 174 bhp any beter on diesel
would it be any better remaping the ecu?

i have a '06 1.9ltr turbo 130bhp skoda suberb. i got this remapped about 2yrs ago and on my normal running around ie short country trips, it is showing 5l/100km on the trip meter. long journeys on good roads and it would do about 4l/100km doing a steady 60-70mph.
on a recent trip to killorglan in kerry, from dungarvan i went cappaquinn/fermoy/mallow/killarney/killorglan. it done 4.5l/100km i thought this was pretty good as alot of this was on bad secondary roads.

and before anyone says 'why did you go that way',, well i thought it might be shorter...... i was wrong:(

    Right.
I filled up the tank 80 liters and zeroed the odometre to see whar happens
But I have now found a new problem
Deiving home this eve The rattel from the back got worse
    Got home Jacked the Van
roled the wheel no rattels but took off the wheel and wow!!
you would have swore that i drove home with the hand break on. metal throug the tyre in one spot only rest of the tyre perfect. Its now sterting on the other side same thing but in one spot again
Now I buy the same tyre (goodyear Cargo) Could they be doge eg remoulds
Now I had a shunt there last year was rear ended by a ford focus (his car was a wrire off air bags poped) He caught me bang on in the tow bar. Could he have warped chassis or back axel
If he has done this damage where do i stand it was over a year ago
    Any sugestions greatly apreciated
