Music from mini disc to laptop

    I've just found an old box of minidiscs that has lots of very interesting stuff on them.how can I upload them to my laptop what programs or cables will I need ...or is this even possible

    Well you'll need a minidisk player and a cable. (Usually usb a to usb b).

    It'd likely be 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable from the headphone port to the audio input of your computer and record in real time to wav with Audacity or similar program.

    If it's a HiMD player and disc, then you could upload via Sonicstage via usb. Older MD players can't do this.
